Frankfurt

Dates of stay: 14 - 16 July 2025
Accommodation
I booked my stay for Frankfurt about 8 months in advance, as soon as the dates for the Stray Kids concert were released - the main reason of my visit. I got a great deal as prices were double (even triple almost a few months later) then what I ended up paying.

Day 1
Left early for Brussels Airport as its mid July, just in case...Train went smoothly today, no delays. Ended up clearing security in like 3 minutes only which was a nice surprise. I then immediately went to my favorite resting spot at the A-terminal which has a charging point and is in a calmer area, to clear my 2 hours waiting for boarding.
Once landed in Frankfurt, I immediately went to my hotel and I was lucky, the room was already ready and available 2 hours before regular check-in time. After a quick refreshing I ventured to the city center, where I had a boat tour pre-booked and spend 1h30 on the water, enjoying views, sun and a little fresh windy vibe.
After this I've did a random walk into the old city and the largest shopping street, before eating at an Asian restaurant.
Day 2
Shopping in the morning and finding a very cheap but great outfit for the concert. Had a healthy lunch at a small take-out place and went to change at the hotel.
Afternoon: Stray Kids in Deutsche Bahn Park Frankfurt (17-23h)
I departed around 2 PM and well, the entire tram was full of Strays. I got lucky as I randomly started talking to one girl who traveled alone and she presented me to 2 other girls who she met in the merchandise-line the day before. We spend all the hours before the concert together talking about Stray Kids, other K-pop groups and interests, our jobs/studies etc.
The concert itself was amazing, as expected. It was my first concert in an open stadium and it's so different, sound wise, from an indoor venue, but a whole other atmosphere.
After the concert I met the same friends I've met earlier again and we walked around 30 minutes home together, until we found a tram stop that brought us to the city center. We ended with a small midnight snack and left for our places at around 1 AM I think.
Day 3
I decided to sleep in until 8.30 AM as I was obviously very tired from the concert and needed to rest a bit in order to not cause any extreme flair-ups of my fibromyalgia. After a good hotel breakfast, I checked out and went straight to the airport. I was there a bit early but I felt I didn't have the energy to go in to the city again and than rush back to get my luggage. Sad, but with a chronic illness one has to take care of himself sometimes.
Frankfurt airport itself is very large and you have quite a bit of shops and restaurants, so the waiting time went by quite quickly.
